Workshop on Transforming Scientific Knowledge into

 The Industrial Research Institute (IRI) and the Centre for Innovation & Technology (CIT) co-organized with the TAIEX assistance a 2 days’ Workshop on Transforming Scientific Knowledge into Social and Economic Benefits on the 2nd and 3rd of December 2014 at the Industrial Research Institute premises in Hadat.

The Workshop discussed R&D policies and strategies in terms of country evolving needs, role of public sector; role of production enterprises; universities and Research institutes, and the establishment of scientific and research networks in specific fields such as ICT, agro-food and other.

The second day of the workshop included presentations from both academia and industrialists. During these interactions, a gap analysis was carried out in order to be able to identify the needs of each sector. These needs will be used to build a platform for possible future cooperation and matchmaking.
