Innovation Vouchers from CIT

Dr. Nicolas Louka and Dr. Richard Maroun each received a voucher of 10,000 EURO from the CIT for their innovative projects in the months of September and October.

Dr. Louka is working on the drying-texturizing of germinated seeds and seedlings: optimization of their nutritional, structural, functional and technological features; while Dr. Maroun is developing the valorization of grape pomace through phenolic compounds extraction using emerging techniques.

Both Projects have passed successive rounds of evaluations, and were found to have an encouraging level of inventiveness by the technical committees.

The voucher will help each project to come closer to the commercialization phase where the industry can benefit from their outcomes.
