Fostering Solar Technology in the Mediterranean area

In December 2012, the Industrial Research Institute, as partner with the University of Cagliari, and 5 other partners from the Mediterranean Sea launched the project Fostering Solar Technology in the Mediteranean Area (FOSTEr). The Project financed through the ENPI - CBC Strategic Programme will be implemented over a period of 36 months and has a total budget of 4.5 million Euros with the joint managing authority of ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme as the Joint Managing Authority.

The FOSTEr project – Fostering Solar Technology in the Mediterranean area –aims at promoting the adoption of innovative solar photovoltaic (PV) technologies in the Mediterranean area. Its objectives are transferring the Know how in the solar energy innovative field, implementing and promoting shared design methodology, and promoting Solar Energy innovative technologies at the civil society level.
This will be implemented through transferring the know-how and technical competences to the target groups, Designers and private sector (especially SMEs), citizens and local administrators.
