Memorandum of Understanding between CIT & the FoE

On the 21st of February 2013 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) at The Industrial Research Institute & the “Faculty of Engineering” (FoE) at the Lebanese University- Hadath

IRI, the leading Research Institute in Lebanon, and its specialized department, the CIT, recognizes the need to create synergies with the LU to promote research and exchange of knowledge.

LU–FoE and IRI–CIT share a common vision regarding the importance of the development of Innovation and Research among the Lebanese community and for this purpose, they agreed on a framework of collaboration whereby the different competences available at IRI–CIT and within the FoE are utilized for the mutual benefit of both parties in the achievement of their common goal. The MoU included the following fields of cooperation and exchange of services and knowledge:

• Scientific Applied research.
• Promotion of Creativity and Innovation.
• Dissemination of knowledge through the organization of conferences, workshops, and seminars.
• Organization and sponsorships of Awards for researchers, innovators and scientists in the fields of science and technology.
